My work is built around a love and respect for landscape and a process based on expressive mark-making, colour and composition. Abstract or semi-abstract paintings are created with an atmospheric energy which demands that the viewer look again.. These are all based on careful observation, sometimes with the addition of marks or colours to represent sounds or poetry.

My training at Homerton College Cambridge gave me a successful career teaching Art in schools, then 15 years ago I launched my own art career.  I have continued to teach adults in workshops and regular groups, as well as exhibiting and selling paintings through a number of local galleries.
